24hpoker - One of the Longest Serving Poker Sites
Until I started playing online poker I never knew how much time and love the Scandinavians have for the game. While poker is huge worldwide it seems to be more of a national past time in much of Scandinavia. And it seems they’re not only big into the playing side, but also the business side.
The more I learn about the industry, the more shocked I am at the number of sites that I know and recognise that hail from Scandinavia.
24h Poker is another site from this part of Europe and it is a site I have long been aware of, though truth be told, until recently knew very little about. It turns out they have been open for more than a decade, going all the way back to 2025.
And while I always recognised the name as being a poker brand, I didn’t even know what network they were on until I decided to setup this site about the various Microgaming Skins.
24Hr Poker – No Flash but Great Support
While I generally download poker software onto my main PC at home, I do like poker sites which provide an instant play option too. This is very handy when I am away with work or on holidays and fancy playing some online poker. Unfortunately, 24Hr Poker doesn’t have an instant play option. While not a huge issue, it is slightly surprising as some other skins on the network such as Stan James have offered a browser based version for some time now.
One of the best features of 24hr Poker and the rest of the Microgaming Network is the inclusion of Fast Poker, their own take on Rush Poker. I am a big fan of this style of game and if you don’t have a lot of time to play poker or you have a low threshold for boredom, this is exactly the sort of offering that’s needed.
Another thing that I really like about 24h Poker is the fact that you can play in euros. Some other networks such as Pokerstars and Full Tilt only offer games in dollars. While this isn’t a massive deal, I’d much rather have a choice of currencies to play with.
24Hr Poker also have a live chat facility which is very easy to use. To be honest, I didn’t encounter any problems with the site but I wanted to know how they do in terms of response times and the likes. The result? They passed with flying colours. I fired up the live chat feature to ask about depositing and withdrawing. All my questions were answered in depth and with very little delay. Overall, I’d give their support an A+, something I don’t give out on a whim.
Deposits and Withdrawals
24h Poker has a wide range of deposit methods available and everyone should be able to find an option that is right for them. The most popular methods used are credit card and ewallets such as Skrill, WebMoney and Neteller. There are some other options such as Paysafe Card and PlusPay. The only big one missing on the list is Paypal, though very few sites offer this as a deposit option.
Signing Up – Show Me the Money!
So what do 24hPoker have to offer to new players and how does it differ from the other MPN skins? For starters, the minimum deposit for a bonus is set at €20. If you were hoping to get started with a €5 or €10 bankroll then 24hPoker is not the place to do it. It is not as if I am a high roller but if you want to get properly started with an online poker site, this should be considered the bare minimum to start out with.
For those with bigger bankrolls, you get a 200% matched deposit bonus that can go all the way up to €1,000! However, take note the bigger the bonus you take, the harder it is to clear. Unless you play a lot of poker, it’s unlikely you will be able to clear the €1000 bonus, so you might be better off depositing a little less to begin with. That said if you want to claim the max bonus there is no harm as it’s released in increments as you play.
Overall
24hPoker are a name that everybody knows. I’d like an instant play option and while the deposit methods are suitable for me, they could probably do with adding a couple more region-specific options for players who don’t like to use their cards for gambling online. However, they are my only real concerns for the 24h Poker site. I really love some elements like the straightforward welcome bonus and the Fast Poker tables. Add in their top notch support and this is definitely one of the top options on the MicroGaming Poker network.
